Tahquitz's First Ever Student-Led Press Conference
On November 7, Tahquitz High School held a Press Conference about bullying for the students, by the students. It was the first time ever that the students took the initiative and stepped forward on the battle against bullying. At the conference, three students (Gisela Maldonado, Yietzy Ramos, and Priscilla Maumau) told their experiences with bullying as students from AVID, ASB, and Link Crew listened on.
The students also unveiled the creation of their anti-bullying group known as Tahquitz SWAGGER, led by senior Kaylee Myers. The website, and the group are taking the lead in a district-wide battle to combat the amount of bullying in schools.
